Only the edited copies to support the manuscript of “Humming” were retained and the duplicates were removed from the collection. The collection also came with several boxes of slides and documentation on the editing of Bermardi V. Bothmer and Herman DeMeulenaere books that Mrs. Hall edited. The college contacted New York University where they were both affiliated and asked if the University wanted the collection for their archives. We did not hear back after a few attempts. Given the condition of the slides and that Bennington does not maintain collections in that medium, the slides and the corresponding editing files were removed from the collection. Mrs. Hall edited or assisted the manuscripts of Hugh McFadden (poet) and Alfred Salway (Sineologist). Neither works were ever published and the files were removed from the collection.
