From the Record Group: 10 Linear Feet (This collection consists of historic documents related to the early efforts to establish Bennington College and to articulate the college’s educational vision and financial plan. This collection also contains documents of the founders and early supporters of the college. The collection includes material created by/for members of the Board of Trustees, the Office of the President, and by individual founders and supporters of the college.Series 1, the Vincent Ravi Booth papers, is comprised of correspondence, draft materials, statements, and other documents created or used by Vincent Ravi Booth that relate to the founding of Bennington College. Series 2, Early Conferences and Meetings, includes conference proceedings, invitations, and transcriptions of speeches from organizational and fund-raising meetings for Bennington College. Series 3, Educational and Financial Plans, consists of documents related to formation of the educational vision and financial plans for Bennington College from the years 1924- 1931. Series 4, Miscellaneous Documents, is comprised of an assortment of materials relating to the founding of Bennington College. The bulk of this series consists of correspondence of founders and early supporters of the college.)
